The Fort Lewis College Environmental Center (EC) strengthens students' commitment to creating a more environmentally and socially responsible world by providing meaningful opportunities to foster change on campus and in our community. Your support today will help us grow our impact!
Thank you for helping us celebrate our 30th anniversary at Fort Lewis College. The EC began in 1991 as a small student organization pushing for more recycling on campus. From those beginnings, the EC has always been a place where students can push to make a positive difference while developing skills to be environmental leaders. Our work has evolved over the years, but we remain a student-driven organization at heart.
Every year, students in the EC brainstorm, plan, implement, maintain, evaluate, and improve dozens of projects and programs that create a more environmentally and socially responsible community. We also collaborate with campus partners and community members to advance campus sustainability commitments, supports academic classes and research, and maintaining a solid network of connections between FLC and environmental organizations in our broader community.
Your gift supporting the EC empowers our meaningful and impactful student-led efforts by funding student payroll, leadership development programming, project supplies, and more. Gifts will directly help us purchase new equipment for the campus garden, fund high-quality student workshops and retreats, buy new plants for our landscape restoration projects, pay for storage for our free student thrift store, and other emerging needs! If there’s an environmental or sustainability problem in our community, we are here to work on a solution. Your donation helps us achieve our goals. Thank you!
