Together, as Skyhawks, we continuously strive to create an inclusive community. By actively seeking to understand the diverse backgrounds of our community members and celebrating our collective contributions to campus life and learning, we become agents for change in creating a more equitable world.
Accordingly, our FLC Diversity Collaborative supports affinity centers and groups on campus, such as the Black Student Resource Center (Black Student Union), Gender & Sexuality Resource Center (LGBTQIA+), Native American Center, and El Centro de Muchos Colores (Latinx). We also support academic inclusivity in projects like the Literacies, Inclusion & Transit project supported with a sizable grant from the Mellon Foundation.
Moreover, we are collectively working to create a diversity, equity and inclusion plan that includes aims and objectives that will guide us in transforming our campus community to be even more respectful of students, faculty and staff from all backgrounds. We greatly appreciate your support -- whether you choose to support the overarching Diversity Collaborative Fund that helps fuel campus-wide Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts -- or program funds supporting each affinity group. Thank you!
