School of Business Administration Impact Fund

Support the areas of greatest need within the School of Business Administration. By giving to the School of Business Administration Impact Fund, your gift will provide flexible funding to be used for program needs, supplies, scholarship support, and other emerging needs identified throughout the year.

Johnson Scholarship Foundation - Native American Business Scholarship

The Johnson Scholarship Foundation (JSF) is dedicated to creating paths to brighter futures. Through the Indigenous People Program, JSF provides scholarships to Indigenous students who study business or Entrepreneurship. The School of Business Administration at Fort Lewis College has received a grant from JSF to provide scholarships to business majors who qualify for the Native American Tuition Waiver. The Johnson Scholarship Foundation will match your contribution dollar-for-dollar and up to $1,000,000, for the Native American Business Scholarship Endowment. For every dollar you give, they match it. This will create a $2 million scholarship endowment - the largest in FLC history!

American Indigenous Business Leaders

AIBL is the only American Indigenous non-profit organization solely dedicated to empowering business students in the United States. Our programs are designed to engage students in activities that stimulate, enhance, and expand educational experiences beyond traditional academic methods. All students are encouraged to participate in AIBL regardless of race, academic major, or career objectives. Only 11% of Native Americans obtain Bachelor’s degrees and 6% obtain Graduate level degrees. AIBL aims to provide Indigenous youth with the resources, support, and work experience necessary to improve these statistics.

Hawk Tank Business Plan Competition

Hawk Tank creates a positive impact within Durango and surrounding communities to give incredible opportunities to local entrepreneurs. Similar to ABC’s Shark Tank, Fort Lewis College created a business plan competition that allows students to pursue their dreams and opportunities as future business owners. Thanks to the help of past contributors, Fort Lewis College’s Hawk Tank Competition is able to better the community as a whole.

Center for Innovation

Multiply your philanthropic dollars by investing in your community’s economic growth. Building on the work of FLC’s School of Business Administration and the Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center, the Innovation Center will develop local businesses and entrepreneurship through incubation, business acceleration, and workforce training.
