Women in SOBA Club
Support Women in SoBA Club (WiSC) this #GivingTuesday!

WiSC's mission is to build students' professional personas by offering tools and resources that aren't covered in classroom curriculum.

Some of the ways we do this are by:

  • Hosting networking events to connect students with business professionals and teach them how to network
  • Holding professional clothing drives, where we do community outreach in order to get professional clothing donations and offer them to students in exchange for a donation of any amount to our club. This helps students look and feel professional before they step into the "real world".
  • Inviting guest speakers to campus to present on a variety of business-related topics.
    • Past presenters include:
      • Elizabeth Howe, Chief Operations Officer, Mountain Capital Partners
      • Amy Maestas, Executive Director, The Durango Herald
      • Kerry Siggins, CEO, StoneAge
      • Jessika Buell, Durango Chamber of Commerce Entreprenuer of the Year, Owner: Lucky Services, Marketing Concepts Squared, and The Vault

We believe that providing students with these tools and resources will better prepare them to be "career ready" upon graduating from Fort Lewis College. Your support will empower the women of WiSC and provide valuable resources needed to accomplish these initiatives and more, this year.
